Remember the days when we anxiously waited to see what would happen next between Lucas and Hilarie? Millions of viewers used to gather around their TV once a week to watch the beloved drama series, One Tree Hill.
We poked around to see what the cast of the series is up to since the series ended. Let’s take a look!
Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray)
Ah, Chad. OTH made him one of the biggest teen sensations on TV portraying the bad boy that every girl wanted to secretly be with. During his time on the show, Chad received numerous other lead roles in movies like A Cinderella Story and House of Wax…and that’s about it. After Chad decided to not return to One Tree Hill for the seventh season, he went on to do smaller projects like starring in Alicia Key’s music video “Un-Thinkable (I’m Ready)” and Christmas Cupid. He did return to OTH for an appearance in the final season.
Since then, he has continued to do some films but many of them have gone unnoticed like Caveman and Outlaws and Angels. Going from seeing Chad every week to almost never admittedly has been strange. Murray will be starring in a new TV series, Sun Records, which is based on the musical “Million Dollar Quartet”and is scheduled to premiere on Feb 23. Fingers crossed that this means we will continue to see him more and more. Murray and wife Sarah Roemer are also expecting their second child this year.

Peyton Sawyer (Hilarie Burton)
Burton played Murray’s on-screen love interest in OTH and rose to popularity among a big fan base. Considering that this was her first big breakthrough role, it was a surprise when she also decided to leave the show before the seventh season. After leaving the show in 2009, Burton gave birth to her son with actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Since then, we’ve seen Burton appear in multiple roles on TV and film such a Grey’s Anatomy, White Collar, Hostages and Extant. Currently, she seems to be laying low with only one ongoing project, Lethal Weapon, where she is slated to appear on a couple of episodes.

Nathan Scott (James Lafferty)
Lafferty played Murray’s half-brother on the series and the caption of the basketball team. He soon became a fan favorite and appeared in all nine seasons and even directed four episodes.
After OTH, Lafferty landed a lead role in the independent movie Waffle Street. Since then, he hasn’t been on too many shows but did find his way directing a couple of episodes of the show, Royals.

Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush)
Bush had the most on-screen experience than any of her co-stars of the show. She soon gained a loyal fan base on the show and was easily one of the favorites. During OTH, she continued to do projects like John Tucker Must Die and Stay Alive. Bush also directed a couple of episode of OTH, including the ninth and final one.
Bush has been playing the role of Detective Erin Lindsay on Chicago P.D, a series focused on the Chicago police department, since 2014.

Haley James Scott (Bethany Joy Lenz)
Lenz was probably one of the most versatile cast members of the show. Besides being an actress, she is also a singer-songwriter and filmmaker. She landed her role in OTH after gaining popularity in Guiding Light. After completing nine full seasons of the series, Lenz did a little bit of singing and release a couple independent singles. The music didn’t take her too far but her loyal fans enjoyed it nonetheless.
To be honest, we’re not really sure what Lenz is up to?

It’s pretty clear that these cast members were at their peak when on OTH. We can only hope that the Netflix or Hulu Gods are listening and will grace us with a OTH revival. is that too much to ask for??
